- After my arrival at BKK airport, I spent a good two hours trying to figure out how to get from the airport to my hotel. It was an extremely complicated system. Of course, I was prepared, I had read about Bangkok so much! But when I arrived, it seemed impossible. I didn’t know where my Shuttle Bus was, I didn’t understand the public transport, nobody spoke English. In the end I ended up taking a taxi, which also had a very weird system of having to grab a number (ticket) first. My taxi driver spoke no English. The only thing he said was ‘high way? high way?’. If you agree to this, you will pay for the toll roads, which is only fair I think. Just be prepared that you have cash (baht).
- After only three days, I have started to like to toilet butt shower thingy. It is very hygienic. The only thing I don’t understand is: are you just supposed to pull up your underwear over your wet butt? I might be using it wrong…

3. Really, really good food. The first few days I ate so, so much. It is so delicious and so cheap. On the picture, you can see a full plate of chicken Pad Thai, from a stall on Soi Rambuttri Road. One of my favourite roads in Bangkok. It is quite busy, but filled with stalls with fruit, cocktails, pancakes with banana and honey, and Thai food.

4. Amazing Pina Coladas and mango cocktails.
5. I have made it my new life goal to drink a coconut.
6. Haa in Thailand means 5. If this post made you smile, respond with 555 (hahaha)
Enjoy your day!
